On 10.11.2010 at about 18.50 hrs. the driver of a Lorry bearing Registration No. WB23A/7767 drove the same in a rash and negligent manner and dashed one Smt. Geeta Das (65) W/O Lt. Naren Das of 6, Gorapada Sarkar Lane, P.S. Ultadanga, Kolkata 67 in front of 10/1, Cannel Circular Road, Kolkata 67 resulting in her admission at R.G. Kar Hospital with injuries.

Sometime between 20.30 hrs and 21.00 hrs on 09.11.10 the driver of a vehicle bearing Registration No. WB06A/3142 dashed one pedestrian namely Subrata Ghosh (30) s/o Prasad Kumar Ghosh of South Hatiyara, Srima Pally, PO. Ghuni, PS. Newtown (Rajarhat), Kolkata 59 and sustained fracture injury on his right leg and subsequently was removed to Sishu Mangal Hospital wherefrom being treated and discharged, he was again admitted at New Life Nursing Home.

On 06.11.10 between 06.00 hrs. and 10.00 hrs. unknown accused person committed theft in respect of one black and blue colour Bajaj Discover 150 Motor Cycle bearing Registration No.WB07E/3551, Engine No. JZUBTE19361, Chassis No. MDZDJZZZTPE13859, from in front of the House of the complainant Imran Ahmed (25), S/O Lt. Nisar Ahmed at B-38/1/C, Iron Gate Rd., Kolkata 24 where it was parked.

On 06.11.10, in between 01.00hrs and 07.00hrs, a theft was committed in respect of a Pulsar M/Cycle bearing Registration No. WB07/1919, while the complainant Sk. Sabir Nizamuddin of 2/H/7 Taltala Lane, Kolkata 14 parked it in front of 10 Sandal Street, Kolkata 16.

On 09.11.10 at about 21.15 hrs one Ponai Oraon (33) S/O Sharu Oraon of Nataghar Chandralake, Ghola Kolkata 113 driver of P/bus bearing Registration No. WB25B/4456 route no. 214A drove the same along J.M. Avenue from south to north direction in rash and negligent manner endangering human life and safety to others and there by knocked down one passenger of the bus namely Robin Ghosh (55) S/O Lt Bhola Nath Ghosh of 122, Satin Sen Nagar, P.S. Baranagar, Kolkata 35 in front of Mitra Cafe on J.M.Avenue. As a result the said passenger received bleeding injuries on his left leg and he was removed to R.G. Kar M.C. and Hospital where he was admitted. |

The members and supporters of 12th July Committee of United Movement of Workers, Employees and Teachers West Bengal including Bank Employees Federation, Mercantile Federation, Rail Defence have decided to hold a mass meeting at Rani Rashmoni Avenue, Kolkata from 17.30 hours on 11.11.2010 in protest against the irregular movement of Metro Railway services in Kolkata, etc. Earlier at about 17.00 hours on the day (11.11.2010), the members of the said organization will take out a procession from the different Central Govt. Offices including the following places to take part in the in the programme i.e. (i) In front of C T C Head Office, 12, R N Mukherjee Road, Kolkata will move along R N Mukherjee Road, Bentinck Street, J L Nehru Road, (ii) G.S.I. Office near Park Street crossing, (iii) Jiban Prakash Buildings, 16, C R Avenue, Kolkata. Route of the procession will be decided at the starting points.

The leadership and members of Rajya Parsha Sikshak Samanway Samity, State Committee have decided to hold a rally followed by sit-in-demonstration at Metro Channel, Esplanade, Kolkata on 11.11.2010 from 12 00 hours onwards demanding conferring of full time teacher status to the Para Teachers, issuance of appointment letter to the Para Teachers by the District Inspector of Schools, introduction of a fixed pay scale, payment of increment, gratuity and pension etc. In this connection, earlier on the day (11.11.2010), the followers of the organization hailing from different Districts of the State will assemble at Metro Channel, Esplanade, Kolkata through sectional processions from Sealdah and Howrah Rly. Stations. The routes of the processions will be decided at the spot. |
