5% increase in the basic pension/family pension to who retired/expired while in service during the period

 In G.O (P) No.602/2010/Fin dated 19/11/2010 government have ordered an increase of 5% in the existing monthly basic pension/family pension will be allowed with effect from 01.04.2009 including those who draw minimum pension/family pension. These orders will be applicable to employees and teachers on State Government scales of pay who retired/expired while in service during the period from 01.03.2002 to 30.06.2004.


While allowing the increase, it shall be ensured that the ceiling on maximum pension will be observed ie., the pension shall not exceed the prescribed limit. In the case of employees and teachers who retired/expired while in service on or after 01.07.2004 and were drawing basic pension/family pension below .2,520/-, their pension/family pension will be fixed at .2,520/-.


The monetary benefit will be admissible with effect from 01.04.2009. All the pensioners/family pensioners who are eligible for enhancement of pension under these orders shall submit the prescribed application (Proforma appended) to the Pension Disbursing Authority through Pension Sanctioning Authority. The Pension Sanctioning Authority after scrutiny and confirmation of the details furnished by the applicant shall forward the same to the Pension Disbursing Authorities concerned for further action.


Commutation shall not be allowed on the basis of the enhanced pension. After revision of pension, the Pension Disbursing Authorities shall prepare a statement in the form appended to this order in triplicate and sent one copy of the same to the Pensioner and one copy to the Accountant General (A&E), Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram for verification and updation of registers maintained by Accountant General. 


These orders are not applicable to the teaching staff whose date of superannuation is prior to 01.03.2002. 
 


Group Insurance; time-limit for furnishing subscriber data

 In Circular No.92/2010/Fin dated 04/11/2010 Government have extended the time limit for furnishing subscriber details for creating Master Database of Group Insurance Subscribers. The data in the prescribed format has to be attached with the salary bill for November 2010. All Treasury Officers are strictly directed to ensure the same before honouring the bills and pass for payment. 

Election to LSGIs – authorization to police department Unit Heads/DDOs to draw funds in connection with conduct of election. 

In G.O (Ms) No.542/10/Fin dated 20/10/2010 Government have accorded sanction for authorising various Police Unit Heads and Drawing and Disbursing Officers of Police Department to draw funds from the head of account "2015-00-109-99 (34) Conduct of Election to Local Bodies 2010" till 31-03-2011. 

Prioritization of topics for the training programmes to FD Personnel

 In G.O (Ms) No.537/2010/Fin dated 14/10/2010 Government have approved prioritization of training topics and issued directions on conducting Training & Development Programmes for the personnel of Finance Department.  

9th PRC to study and recommend the revision of pay and allowances of officers and staff of the High Court of Kerala

 In G.O (Ms) No.530/2010/Fin dated 08/10/2010 Government have entrusted the 9th Pay Revision Commission to study and make recommendations on revision of pay and allowances and other benefits of High Court employees confining to the Terms of Reference in G.O (Ms) No.81/2010/Fin dated 20/02/2010.

The PRC shall consider this after completion of its present task and submit its report to the Hon'ble Chief Justice, High Court of Kerala. The time for submitting the report shall be fixed in consultation with the High Court.
